About the Journal

Focus and Scope

REVISTA ENSAIOS PIONEIROS is a semi-annual electronic journal created by the Pioneer Cooperation Network of the State of São Paulo (USF, FHO, UNIFEOB), dedicated to the publication of scientific articles from different areas of knowledge, organized into six sections:

I.          Biological and Health Sciences

II.        Exact Sciences, Engineering, and Technology

III.        Applied Human and Social Sciences

IV.       Agricultural and Environmental Sciences

V.         Education and Teaching

VI.      Extension

The articles may come from different studies such as theoretical reflections, reports of theoretical-practical experiences, reports of internships, research results of master's degrees, doctorates, or course work, participation in scientific initiation projects, extension, and others.

It is characterized as a democratic space for disseminating knowledge, as it is accessible to all academics, whether they are beginners or experienced in scientific production. Thus, the JOURNAL ENSAIOS PIONEIROS inspires and welcomes not only professors and undergraduate or graduate students but also active professionals, encouraging everyone to publish independently or in co-authorship.

The journal's mission is to disseminate knowledge through original scientific articles to broaden discussions and debates on relevant topics both for the scientific community and society.

PEER EVALUATION and CALL FOR ARTICLES. Published articles are submitted to peer review, editorial team members, evaluators or ad hoc consultants.

Peer Review Process

The editors selected reviewers and were invited to compose the editorial committee or act as ad hoc reviewers. They are researchers in their respective areas, with at least a master's degree.

Articles submitted to REVISTA ENSAIOS PIONEIROS are forwarded to two evaluators, preferably those close to the focus of the research. The following cases may occur in this evaluation:

1. The two evaluators approve the text: the text is approved for publication, the authors are notified and the text goes to the final revision.

2. The text is rejected by the two evaluators: the text is archived, the authors are notified.

3. There are suggestions for changes in the text by one or both evaluators: the text is forwarded to the authors for the requested revisions; when returned, the text undergoes an evaluation by the editors, in order to check the changes made. If approved, it is forwarded for final review.

4. The text is not approved, but it is suggested that it be forwarded to a new round of evaluation. The authors are notified and the journal makes itself available to receive a new version of the text.

The ENSAIOS PIONEIROS JOURNAL has a continuous editorial flow.

Free Access Policy

This journal offers immediate free access to its content, following the principle that making scientific knowledge freely available to the public provides greater worldwide democratization of knowledge.

Evaluation form used by reviewers:

REVISTA ENSAIOS PIONIEROS publishes only unpublished articles and does not accept works simultaneously submitted for publication in books or other journals. The works received for publication are sent, without identifying the author, to be judged by reviewers appointed by the Editorial Board.

The items to be examined in the articles are the following:

Do the title and abstract clearly and sufficiently reflect the content of the article?
Is the theme delimited, original, relevant and does it contribute to the area?
Does the article have a good structure, organization, clarity and coherence?
Are the objectives explained? What is their scope?
Is the conceptual framework current, appropriate and in dialogue with the field, demonstrating mastery of the thematic, conceptual and methodological literature?
Does the text have good spelling and grammar review and compliance with ABNT standards?
Are the conclusions presented coherent, well-founded and clear?
Do the content and language comply with the criteria for not conveying racist, ethnic, sexist prejudices and/or defamation and slander that could harm the integrity of readers and/or individuals mentioned in it?
